A 15-million euro investment is placed on the map of Romanian RAMADA franchises
Ramada Oradea – an investment in modernizing Bihor’s tourism
Trend Hospitality, the Ramada strategic partner for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, and ABA TURISM SRL announce the conclusion of the franchising contract and the start of the investment for the construction of the most modern 3-star hotel of Oradea. Located within 900 metres of the Oradea Town Hall, this is the first Ramada hotel in the west of the country and in Oradea.
The hotel is planned to have 131 rooms, being structured B+G+mezzanine+8, the investment aiming at covering all the Ramada quality standards. The hotel facilities will include 3 conference rooms with a seating capacity of 360, a health club, a bar and terrace restaurant and a parking lot of 76 places. The hotel addresses both business tourism and holiday tourism, being located at the centre of the Oradea Old City. In its neighbourhood there will be opened in 2009 Era Shopping Center Park Oradea,an important attraction for Oradea, due to its wide shopping offer. The city’s proximity to the A3 highway will undoubtedly enhance the business opportunities for the hoteliers of Oradea.

“‘The launching of a Ramada hotel in Oradea is very important, since the city provides a strategic position for business tourism. We think that our partners’ plan covers, by its conference rooms, a poorly developed area in the city, and the neighbourhood of Baile Felix, Baile 1 Mai, as well as of tourist destinations like Stana de Vale, Arieseni, Padurea Ursilor and Padurea Neagra leads us to believe in the capacity of this location to draw holiday tourism,’ stated Sonia Nastase, Trend Hospitality Senior Associate.
‘Investing in a hotel included in the Ramada chain meets a growing demand for 3-star hotels in Bihor, a growth coming from the economic impetus of the city. The investment is substantial and follows a major feasibility study, which showed a strong and constant economic growth of the city, and an increase in the demand for hotel services at international standards. We invest today in a modern hotel, with ecological equipments, which will become a landmark for our city’s guests,’ said Mr. Valentin Ionescu, General Manager of ABA Turism SRL, the chief investor of the Ramada Oradea Hotel.

Business tourism is the main branch developed in Romania, but both the authorities and the investors are expecting an increase in the holiday tourism in the foreseeable future.
