In December, Akantus Hotel joined the Ramada family, becoming the newest Ramada hotel in Romania

Ramada Hotel Cluj is located within 5 minutes walking distance from the business, touristic and historical center of Cluj Napoca city. Ramada Hotel Cluj is the perfect option, both for business and leisure purposes, having 100 rooms, an executive floor with full access to the Executive Lounge facilities and 4 conference rooms. The hotel responds also to the relaxation and free time needs, having 2 restaurants and a Wellness and Spa Center, the only one with a panoramic view of 360° over the city.

After we have demonstrated our capacity to successfully manage an independent hotel, our constant concern focused on improving the quality of services and establishing operating standards compatible with the most demanding international requirements, concern which gave desired outcomes, therefore we ended the year 2012 with results beyond expectations, and now

we are delighted to join the Wyndham Hotel Group family, owner of the Ramada franchise’ declared Zsolt Torjai, General Director Ramad Hotel Cluj.

The project was developed by Trend Hospitality Consulting & Management, which provided the international Ramada chain affiliation. ‘Cluj Napoca is one of the most important cities in Romania and one of the priority destinations for Ramada. Therefore, we are glad that we made this affiliation with EuroTrend Group. It is a new hotel with modern facilities for both business and leisure, that adds up very well to the Ramada portfolio in Romania, to benefit the investors and the guests’ – said Lucian Marinescu, Senior Associate at Trend Hospitality.

From the owner’s perspective, the advantages of the affiliation include visibility, reputation and positioning of the Ramada brand and access to new sales channels, which otherwise we would not be able to access, and consequently we are estimating an increase of approximately 12% of turnover in 2013,

declared Razvan Tarmure, General Director of EuroTrend Group and Chairman of the General Meeting of Shareholders.
Ramada Cluj will be managed by EuroTrend Group Imobiliar, but after being associated with one of the biggest hotel chains in the world, hotel guests will have a series of additional benefits, including the ability to collect and use the fidelity points from the Wyndham Rewards system.

In Romania, the Ramada brand is represented by Trend Hospitality, which activates as a strategic partner in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, having exclusive franchising rights for the following brands belonging to the Wyndham Hotel Group: Ramada Worldwide, Super 8 Motel and Days Inn.

The Ramada hotel chain, created in 1954 and having nearly 900 locations, is part of the largest group of its kind in the United States of America – Wyndham Hotel Group, encompassing nearly 7,200 hotels representing more than 588,000 rooms in 66 countries on six continents.
