Confiden Travel SRL, a Piteşti company specialising in supplying hospitality services, whose shareholders are well-known local entrepreneurs: Denisa-Oana GOCIU-DUMITRU, Virgil DUMITRU and Valentin VIŞOIU, announces the start of the building works for the city’s newest hotel.
The hotel is to be built at the entrance into the city of Piteşti, at the intersection of Calea Bucureşti and Valea Başcov, and will feature, on its opening in 2011, more than 140 rooms and suites, 2 restaurants, an event room that can seat over 600 people and numerous conference rooms, spa and fitness facilities, underground parking, and hotel services at international standards.

The concept of the new hotel was developed by Trend Hospitality Consulting & Management, the strategic partner of Wyndham Hotel Group for Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldavia, which ensured the hotel’s affiliation to the Ramada international chain and, implicitly, its market positioning at the level 4 stars plus.

The hotel design was carried out by a team of architects and engineers from the German company PCG, specialising in hotel design and development, its 100-project portfolio including such brands as Le Meridien, Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Ramada, Encore, and many others, in Germany, Sweden, Russia, and now in Romania.

The building contractor, Conarg Construct, an executive division within the Conarg Group, is a relatively young company, established on the structure of a subsidiary of the parent company, bearer of its building tradition. The society, which continues and further develops the execution experience within the group, benefits from its own resources – human, technological and logistical – necessary to the achievement of such a target, and already has, in its project and customer portfolio, such names as Equest Partners, Jupiter Piteşti, Lazar Company, Pepsi Romania, Baumax, Kaufland, among others.

Ramada, one of the biggest hotel chains in the world, was created in the year 1954 and has more than 900 units. It is part of the biggest group from the industry in the United States, Whydham Hotel Group, which has over 7000 hotels worldwide, totalling over 590,000 rooms, in 65 countries on several continents, under different brands.

In Romania, the chain is present with 7 hotel units, Ramada Brasov, Ramada Bucharest Majestic Hotel, Ramada Hotel and Suites Bucharest North, Ramada Bucharest Parc, Ramada Plaza Bucharest Convention Center, Ramada Iaşi City Centre, and Ramada Sibiu, with two other hotels about to join the others this year, Ramada Oradea and Ramada Cluj-Napoca.
